2. Do no harm.
3. Minimize the tension and cost of change.
4. Advise the client with objective and unbiased information, providing a balanced view of opportunity and risk.
5. Remain emotionally unattached.
6. Avoid becoming a stakeholder in the change.
7. Maintain leadership credibility.

  • Provide vision beyond the limits of the client’s view.
  • Be trustworthy, operating in the client’s best interest and making only positive changes.
  • Operate in a competent manner and ensure that competent expertise is brought in as appropriate.

8. Conduct him/herself according to the change leader behavior profile.
