What I Need to Know |
The change leader shall diligently:
1. Work as an agent authorized by the client to harness the forces of change on his or her behalf to achieve the client’s desired result.
2. Do no harm.
3. Minimize the tension and cost of change.
4. Advise the client with objective and unbiased information, providing a balanced view of opportunity and risk.
5. Remain emotionally unattached.
6. Avoid becoming a stakeholder in the change.
7. Maintain leadership credibility.
- Provide vision beyond the limits of the client’s view.
- Be trustworthy, operating in the client’s best interest and making only positive changes.
- Operate in a competent manner and ensure that competent expertise is brought in as appropriate.
8. Conduct him/herself according to the change leader behavior profile.
